Throwing nothing but strikes to Kwan. 3rd one Kwan drops into LF. Then everything beat into ground as his stuff kicks in. He does a great job vs Josh Bell baiting him into swinging at pitch in dirt. This guy tops at 95 but he really knows how to pitch. Makes a stellar catch on line shot at him by Naylor. He is really dealing through 3 IP

His bat speed seems to be slowing. He might be at SS to start the season but with McClain, Newman, DeLaCruz and Noelvi coming he likely wont be there long

Lines double off the wall in RC in the 3rd. His eye is still poor a split second late but that is all you get. He reworked swing and it is quicker now but he still needs to see the ball and that remains to be seen for improvement. Lines RBI double off Hanner who is throwing ugly stuff. Way off on Curry changeup.

Trickles one in front of plate on straight fastball hard swing. He looks unsure with bat but has great CF glove. He flails at Teheran change but the mediocre FB he can handle and rips an RBI single

Gets a start vs his 2021 team tonight. Civale blows him down with 92 MPH FB. But in 4th he launches one to CF - Straw goes to get it in CF.

Looks sharp until ball dropped on track. Then he starts getting too much of the plate and too many barrels. Leaves bases loaded with a K to Witte to save the game for the Reds

Batting 5th and LAUNCHES a shot to RF. Brennan robs him with great catch slamming into wall. He tries RF again in 3rd and just misses foul on rip. He shows nsmarts on bases with steal ad goes to 3b on bad throw by Gallagher. Then homers in last AB. He shows great bat skills today.

Still has same quick bat saw in AFL. Needs better pitch ID. Makes a rope to RF in 8th for an off the glove hit. He still makes fundamentals errors at 3b but it looks like it matches his skills

Lines a hard single to RF then another same hit to CF. He is seeing the ball well. Going to GABP might be just what he needs. But he tries to hit it out of the atmosphere in 5th and that doesn’t work

He hits it on ground to Rosario for a 6-4-3 in 1st. In 5th he just misses double off the wall the other way before K on change from Morgan. He still looks ready to hit for Reds in GABP in 2023.

He gives up runs on cheap - dropped foul pop, 8 pitch walk on marginal pitch, check swing off the bat into RF for a hit, etc. Results are worse but his command is MUCH better today. He doesn’t overpower, looks like a possible middle rotation guy
