Singles up the middle on nice cut in 2nd Swings at ball above his shoulder and grounds out in 3rd. Impressive capability to make contact but please don’t swing at that pitch. Again in the 6th he makes contact on bad pitch and pops it up

A bad swing on hittable pitch. He knubs it to pitcher. Against Sanders he doesn’t pick up change and just fouls for strike 2. Then whiffs on 80 MPH change and struggles against Rodriugez in 6th as well. Not a good day but hard to find a fault with his swing other than it just isnt really quick

Up in 6th and goes down to Borucki. In 7th he has a chance with 2 on and 2 out vs Rodriguez but lines out to end the threat. He just blends in as an average performer at this level

Struggles with command in 1st. Throwing in upper 90's . Not much movement trying not to stress the arm with breaking stuff - or so it appears. He gets control down in 2nd and looks great

Looks really good loose and throwing well. But his velo is still down. Will it ever come back? He is around 93 today which wont work. Rios goes deep the other way looking very comfortable! He leaves in 4th

Rips a hit to RF again. Does a nice job sliding into 2b to breakup a DP. He has a quick bat and good eye. Acts like he thinks he is a quick MI which he isnt

Batting 2nd today. Grounds out to 1b in 1st. He has big swing and miss today vs Neidert. Looks like he wasn’t to destroy it even with guy on 3b and 1 out. And eventually a high 4 seamer gets him to strikeout swining. Ugh. I am not as high on him as others

He is at 3b for Sox today. His bat speed is good but not great but Niedert gets on up and he lines to wall in LF for a double. Grounds a single into RF in the 5th. He is on it today. Ties the game in the 7th on a grounder to RF and steals 2b too.

On top of sinker from Neidert grounds out but hustles to avoid a DP to get an RBI. Then finds a FB from Sanders in 4th and launches a HR to LF. Short compact swing is really working. Until he is called on on pitch low and away. Ump has not been good today.

Loops a single to CF in 2nd on good cut and does it again in the 4th to LF. He is controlled on swings today contrasting to many teammates. Out easily trying to steal but he has great spped but no jump. He is the only White Sox hitting today with a double over LF head in 7th. He can make contact with most pitches which makes him a unicorn on ChiSox.

Times Neidert for a laced double off the wall in 2nd. Too cautious on bases only gets to 3b on Haseley single. He is apparently saving his speed and not pushing it. Hopefully that is only a spring thing. He figures to be on base a lot and would be a real clog to be limited in running like he was today.

Strikes out Bote with change (strike 2) followed by 95 MPH FB (strike 3). He is up to 99 in 4th inning and batters have no chance. Especially when he drops in 89 change. He tosses 10 pitch inning in 4th. This guy is a pen monster

Swings arly on 86 MPH FB from Weaver. But he rips single to RF on 96 MPH FB. In 2nd a nice easy swing launches a 3 run HR to cap a 5 run inning vs Weaver. That was a very impressive HR as it was a minimal effort cut that looked like it would be a pop up from swing. But nope. He has impressive pop and bat speed.
